Description

Ca’ Ronchi is a sweet wine obtained with a mono-varietal Merlot grapes that comes from Ronchi area, from which it takes the name.

The vineyards are 40 years old with a low yield of 60/70 quintals/ha.

The grapes are hand harvested in mid September with a careful selection and is dried in plateau for 3 months.

It’s destemmed, the berries are put in small tanks to do a slow fermentation due to the cold season (January) together with the skins.

It comes a pressing at 2 Bar to obtain the best aromas.

At the end of the spring the wine is decanted in barrique for 5 months’ ageing.

The color is a full ruby-red, it has hints of mature red fruits. Well-balanced between sweetness and alcohol, sapid with an aftertaste of sweet tannins; with a good acidity
