Barbera d'Asti S. Bernardino 2005
D.O.C. %14 refined in barriques

It derives from the Barbera grapes of San Bernardino vineyard in Agliano Terme  .

the vineyard is not so big and placed in a sunny position , it is cultivated with a lot of care for obtaining a reduced yield  but a high quality . The grapes are thinned out and selected during the harvest, they are treated in a traditional way for guaranteeing a typical and authentic product.

The ageing is obtained putting the wine in oak barrels for nine months  and then for other nine months in French barriques and then for six months in the bottle. The wine obtained has a ruby red colour , the flavour is intense and full bodied. It goes well with tasty dishes, red meat and matured cheese, but it can also be a great meditation wine. It is advised to be served at 18-20 degrees, uncorking it 2 hours before the consumption.
