Description

We use honeydew honey as the basis of this product. Honeydew is a sweet, sticky liquid that coats the leaves of some trees (fir, oak, maple, linden) and is secreted by certain insects (aphids) that feed on the sap of these plants. Bees collect the honeydew liquid, just like they do with the nectar of flowers.
Honeydew is not produced regularly and is becoming increasingly rare. This product is designed to be a prestigious gourmet item. The special qualities of the honey combine with the white truffle of San Miniato to create a sublime product, appreciated by all our customers.
This honey serves as an accompaniment to cheeses, especially those that are semi-cured or herbed. It is also excellent on both sweet and bitter chocolates.
