L’armangia produces quality wines in Canelli, in the Province of Asti - Piedmont, where the estate has been based since 1988 but The Giovines are winegrowers and producers since 1850, and still own some amongst the oldest vineyards of this area.

In 1988, while he was successfully completing his oenology studies, Ignazio Giovine started his farming and winemaking operations, adding some favourably positioned plots of land which he bought on the Castellero hill to the existing family vineyards.

His aim was to focus on innovative techniques that enhance quality while perpetuating Piedmontese viticultural and oenological traditions so that the wines retain their typical characteristics that have made them world renowned.

Currently, the estate's area under vines is about 10 hectares, producing mostly Barbera, Chardonnay, Moscato d'Asti, Nebbiolo, Albarossa, Freisa , Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon blanc. The annual production is approximately 80,000 bottles, with year-to-year swings based upon the quality level of individual vintages.
