The company Azienda Agraria Luzi Gianluigi e Andrea straddles the provinces of Pesaro-Urbino and Ancona, in Marche region, and has experience that spans generations. It selects and cultivates superior quality seeds and develops every aspect of the production processes with total respect for people and the environment with the aim of creating products that are whole, pure, additive-free and just as nature intended.

The underlying common denominator that links all the products bearing the FIOR DI PIETRA trademark is the integrality and wholeness afforded by stone milling cereals and legumes. Milling whole grains and legumes makes it possible to achieve products that are truly whole, rich in fibre, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants as they contain all the nutritional wealth of the original products.

Making pasta by hand using our own flour, bronze dies, and slow-drying methods at low temperatures, protects these nutritional values as well as giving our products the texture and richness which will surely make you love every one of them.

 

For discerning and demanding consumers we now offer four wholegrain specialities: EMMER WHEAT, EMMER WHEAT AND BROAD BEAN, EMMER WHEAT WITH EGG, and DURUM WHEAT, in attractive and practical transparent packaging that allows you to appreciate at first glance the handcrafted qualities of the product - its colour and texture - which will certainly not, optimizing the benefits of the now universally acknowledged benefits of the Mediterranean diet.

EMMER WHEAT

Light line

Emmer wheat is the oldest cereal in the history of Mediterranean civilization and the lowest in calories of all. It has a high fibre content, and is therefore very satisfying. It has a low glycaemic index so that sugars are released into the bloodstream more gradually, and it is rich in antioxidants (isoflavones), and minerals including potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, so that including it in your diet is extremely useful and reassuring.

Azienda Agraria Luzi exclusively cultivates the emmer wheat cultivar known as “Triticum dicoccum” which is ideal for making pasta. Moreover stone milling and handcrafting the pasta enhance its flavour and nutritional qualities making it an exciting and unforgettable experience.

EMMER WHEAT WITH EGG

Energy line

The unusual combination of emmer wheat and egg is the basis for this special pasta, which has a rich flavour and is easily digestible. In addition, its substantial fibre content and capacity to provide feelings of satiety make it an extremely important food for everybody, especially lovers of sports and adults.

DURUM WHEAT

Balanced line

You should not let the content of durum wheat, which is normally used for making pasta, deceive you into thinking that this product is like other pastas. The selection of superior quality varieties, stone milling, the use of bronze dies, and slow drying at low temperatures make this a product you will truly appreciate.

The considerable fibre content improves its nutritional qualities, and its flavour and texture are not to be found in normal pastas, nor in many other wholegrain pastas because they lack the intrinsic characteristics of this product.

EMMER WHEAT AND BROAD BEAN

Protein line

 

The combination of durum wheat (60%) and emmer wheat and broad beans (20% each), gives this product a particularly distinctive flavour and nutritional values that make it taste unique and unforgettable.
