Description

Red, 100% from severely selected grapes ( Sardinian Bovale, muristellu, cannonau, monica) coming from the sunniest vineyards of the Mandrolisai area, manufactured in the territory of Ortueri.

Altitude of the vineyards 500/600 metres over the sea level.

Plant breeding system: little tree (sapling).

Age of the vines, 80 years.

System density, 5000 vines.

Output per Ha, 50 quintals 30 hectolitres.

Vintage time (period): first decade ofoctober.

 

Manufacturing technique

 

 

Manual grape harvesting, removal of grape stalks (peels), wine-making in red with traditional fulling of the peels (skins), soaking (steeping) at a controlled temperature between 25-28 °. Cold bottling and refinement in bottle for about a year.
