Description

Our company “Trinacria Agricola s.r.l. is a new company that is in expansion, which is run by owners and a staff that are young and growning with the company. The company started putting its product  on the market in 2008 with the production of 450 quintals of our high quality product, which was transferd into 250 ml, 500 ml, 750 ml and one liter bottles and in 5 liters cans. With an invoice of € 275.000,00, which is forseen to triple in the up coming years thanks to all the request that we have recieved for this high quality product.

Our company works mainly, at the moment, with the americans, belgian an sicilian market which we delivery directly  to tanks to our rappresentatives that are on location. It is located in the hills of Palermo, adjacent to the famous “ Conca D’Oro”, specifically in the town of Borgetto. The company manages an olive grove of 40 hectares where grow about 20000 plants. The transformation establishments , storage and packaging rely on a floor area of 700 square meters and and a large area without coverage of relevancy. The  pedoclimatiche land conditions makes it particularly siuted for olive crops, the cultivar most present are Cerasuola, Biancolilla and Nocellara of Belice. The main target is the production of healthy olives, nothing is underseen and day by day it is required by the owners to be commmited in order to improve. This requires that each stage of the production cycle is give due attention.  Timeliness from harvest to the milling, and low temperatures during the extracting process are the principles upon which the quality of our products are based on.

OUR EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

                   The extravirgin olive oil produced by our oil mill is san oil with exceptional characteristics. The oil is extracted from the olives with amethod called “ Two Phases” which hightens the oils characteristics noticeably. The extravirgin olive oil processed with the “ Two Phases” , which is a method of processing the olives without the additing of water. Without the addition of water the oil presents a flavor  that is different from the oil processed by  a “ Three Phases “ method, which is a method of processing the olive with the additing of water.

         Our oil that is extracted by a “ Two Phases” process present a greater concentration of poliphenols due to the fact that there is no water added during processing. The poliphenols remain intact in the oil and help preserve the oil with its antioxidant elements and as a result the oil has an elevated preservation period and a determined and intense taste.

         It is also advisable when using extravirgin olive oil to be aware of the type of processing that was used for the olives because most of the beneficial substances in its content are “ Hydrosoluble and  Tremolabili” ( they are expelled with the water and with the high tempretures used during the cycle of extraction).    

The POLIPHENOLS are antioxidant substancs that if present in an elevated concentration in the oil it is considered a definite value. There are no legal limits as to how much poliphenols should be in the oil but the value of poliphenols are important in regards to the quality of the oil. The poliphenols have a role in the prevention of numerous Cronic-Degenerative pathologies like aterosclerosis and Cardiovascular pathologies.

With the closure of the 2008-2009 harvest, which was of an excellent and high quality, our company would like to show what our products are all about, with the hope that we may undertake a whole and lasting work related relationship.

Our company produces mainly four types of oil of which three are made of a single variety of olives and the fourth is blend:

·        Bottles of 250ml – 500ml e 750ml:

  1. Extravirgin olive oil  “L’Essenza”: is an oil that is made of best Biancolilla olives, it presents itself with a light color and has a fuity and sweet taste. It is an oil to be used raw and is suitable for all dishes;
  2. Extra virgin olive oil“Vittorio”: is an oil that is made from the best Cerasuola olives, it has a green color with yellow-gold reflexes, it has an herbal aroma and an aromatic tast, it is bitter and spicey, it is an oil to be used raw and suitable for all dishes
  3. Extravirgin olive oil “Canti” is an oil made from the best Nocellara of Belice olives, it has a deep green color, it has a very aromatic taste,   it is lightly spicey and is an oil suitable for all dishes.
  4. Extravirgin olive oil  “Massimo”  is a blend of our best Biancolilla – Cerasuola – Nocellara olives, it presents itself with yellow gold reflexes, and has e very decisive taste. It is an oil to be used raw and is suitable for all dishes.

·        Can of 3lt and 5lt

Our extra virgin olive oil in 3 lt and 5 lt cans are marked exclusivly “Borgus”, it is our hight quality bland oil that represent our “Massimo” extra virgin olive oil.
