This wine reprsented perfectly by its ruby and scarlet hues. Made from Barbera grapes grown on the sunniest slopes in Diano d'Alba, it has an ample, fragrant bouquet conjuring up roses, plums and jam, and an intense, dry, lingering taste. The grapes are selectively picked when they are perfectly ripe. They then undergo soft pressing, followed by a traditional wine-making process that pays particular attention to the malolactic fermentation in order to achieve exactly the right balance. Barbera d'Alba matures in big oak cascks standing in silent underground cellars, followed by several months in the bottle in preparation for providing elegant, flavoursome company at the table.
