The Family
Our family has been producing wine since the 60ies. Back our two forefathers Gregorio and Silvio (Cio) ran two separate productions. Today these have merged into a unique project dedicated to the valorisation of the Red Tai grape-vine, the native par excellence in the Colli Berici.
The terrain of Barbarano
Barbarano is a small village at the Colli Berici, in the province of Vicenza. Its territory embraces a great variety of terrains (mostly marine sedimentary rocks) and altitudes (up to 400 meters above sea level). The Pialli wineyards extend a bit more than one hectare over these hills, cultivated by organic farming.
The wine of Barbarano
The Red Tai of Barbarano has long been known all over the Colli Berici; since 1993 the wine produced in this area has been renamed ”Barbarano”. Our farming concept is based on the respect of the traditional local grapevine and on a careful and targeted viticulture. Our certified organic grapes ripen after several snippings in order to produce an exceptional flavoured wine, suitable for aging.
